Acceptable Use Policy

Rules that protect students, agencies, providers, and the marking service.

Effective 31 August 2026

1. Permitted educational use

Axtant may be used to collect and mark work that the agency is authorised to process, review feedback, understand cohort patterns, and administer the agency account. The agency must use tutor judgment for consequential academic decisions.

2. Prohibited conduct

  • Accessing another agency's tenant, roster, storage path, upload link, feedback link, or billing record without authorisation.
  • Uploading unlawful, infringing, malicious, exploitative, deceptive, or unnecessary sensitive content.
  • Using Axtant for surveillance, biometric identification, or as the sole basis for high-stakes admission or employment decisions.
  • Enumerating or sharing student links, bypassing rate limits, probing secrets, disrupting providers, introducing malware, or using the service to attack another system.
  • Reselling access, misrepresenting Axtant output as guaranteed human judgment, or concealing the agency's ability to inspect and override a result.
  • Using automated extraction or excessive traffic outside documented interfaces in a way that degrades service or defeats billing.

3. Enforcement

Axtant may limit, suspend, or terminate access needed to stop a security, legal, payment, or abuse risk. Axtant will use proportionate measures and provide notice where practical. Serious or repeated abuse may be reported to providers or authorities where legally required.
